African Village Rest. Irving

My wife has next week off and she lets me go have lunch with coworkers at "unique" restaurants without her because she really doesn't like the different flavors from around the world. So ,as we make our plans, we saw the review of the African Village in Irving. Has anyone been??? Comments??

  1. I've been. They have an interesting menu. Many people enjoyed the whole grilled/fried fish (tilapia), or a version or the chicken stew or pepper soup which they dunked fufu in. It's a very home-y, hole in the wall type restaurant. Don't expect anything fancy. Don't order the goat head unless you know what you're getting into.

Also, if you can stand hot (spicy) food with no issue, let them know when ordering if it's supposed to be spicy, because they will tone down the heat level for crackers.
