Anyone know of any great brunch spots within a 20 mile radius of Poughkeepsie?

My favorite brunch places are Double O Grill in Rhinebeck, Cucina Restaurant in Woodstock, Mohonk Mountain house, Beekman Arms in Rhinebeck, Love Bites in Saugerties. Hype Park has a great diner, the Everyready Diner if you like comfort food.
You will find a bunch of Hudson Valley brunch ideas on my blog, http://www.hudsonvalleygoodstuff.com.

I really like Pamela's Java Hut in Fishkill on Main Street, but they're closed on Sundays. Babycakes has decent food too, but their service is spotty.

The absolute best is Wild Hive Bakery & Cafe, just 20 minutes out the Salt Point Turnpike from Poughkeepsie. ALL of their food is local, from small farms - they store all their own food and use it up all winter long. They mill all their grain fresh. And it is not too expensive - brunch is in the $8-15 range, with free refills on super good fair trade coffee. It has a little farm store where you can buy local produce and processed foods, and their own grains! The 10 grain cereal is excellent to take home, the biscuits and gravy are excellent to dine in.

I've never been to their cafe, but I buy a loaf of their homemade bread every week - that they make with their own grains - It is SO delicious and fresh

I looked on the website but they didn't have a brunch menu. What types of dishes do they have for brunch?

Hotel Thayer at West Point has a nice buffet brunch. Not gourmet but food is good. Beautiful dining room and environs.

              What about McKinney & Doyle?

Are you asking how it is or suggesting it? I think M&D does a great brunch. Very reasonably priced and the food is great. They serve it on Saturday as well as Sunday.

Another possibility is Red Devon in Bangall (north of Millbrook). I had dinner there during HVRW and thought it was excellent. They do Sunday brunch according to their website.
