inexpensive 240V induction cooktop?

I've got a nice but inexpensive gas range, so I also have an unused 240V range plug right beside it. I was thinking that a nice inexpensive 240V single induction cooktop would utilize that plug nicely. There are lots of inexpensive 120V cooktops available, but those max out at 1500-1800W. I figure there must be inexpensive 240V cooktops designed for the European market. However, the cheapest I have found is a $1200 Cooktek. Does anybody have any other pointers?

    1. The Cooktek is by no means "inexpensive" but if you check with a restaurant supply distributor, you might find that the cooktek's price drops a bit. If you buy from the manufacturer, they will charge you MSRP, but the distributor typically gives a sizable discount.

If you do go with CookTek, I doubt you will regret it. They are tops in quality and performance.

          BUT:

o Shipping may be an issue, and

o You will probably have to wire the mains pigtail yourself.

Never thought to check Amazon.co.uk. Amazon.com won't ship to Canada, but the link you sent is a third party selling through amazon that ships to North America. Thanks!
