Has anyone been to Gnocchi just off South Street? If so, what was your experience?

SO and I went to Gnocchi a few times in late 2009 to take advantage of their recession special - 2 salads, 2 pasta entrees, and dessert for $25. Especially since the restaurant is BYO, the deal is quite good. Salads are pretty standard - more interesting than average mixed greens, but nothing memorable. The pasta dishes were good; the pumpkin gnocchi I ordered at my most recent visit were particular memorable. Both time we were given a huge piece of light, creamy tiramisu to split for dessert. The food is not mind blowing gourmet, but it is better than average and service was good. At the $25 price point it can't be beat.

We had dinner there about a year ago and it was fantastic. It seemed noisy in there, but it is a pretty small place. The pasta was great and very nice service.

I haven't been to Gnocchi in a few years, but it used to be one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in that area. I just heard a good review from some friends..so it maybe time to visit them again. Looking forward to hearing your review if you decide to go!
