Early after-dinner drink spot in Tribeca area

hi!

i am visiting nyc next week for my brother's small wedding. the wedding will be at the nyc marriage bureau (140 Worth Street) and we're having an early dinner at Mercer Kitchen (99 prince street) afterward. we're staying at the Smyth Hotel in Tribeca.

i'm trying to find the perfect place for the adults (about 8-10 of us, ages 30ish to 60ish) to have an after dinner drink or 3, around 9:30 or 10pm? ideally, something fun and lively, but not packed or a very 'young' crowd. i should mention that this friday night.

thank you all in advance for your advice! i rely on chowhound for all great rec's when i travel!
