Does anyone know where I can buy lambs liver with 40 miles of Santa Rosa?

You can order lamb parts from Healdsburg's CK Lamb by calling Big John's. I think the delivery day is Thursdays but not positive about this.

Sal's in Rohnert Park is a halal butcher and has beautiful lamb, goat, and Fulton chickens in the butcher case. Selection is greatest on Fridays but best to call ahead and reserve. I like this stop in RP, as I can combine it with a visit to the Grocery Outlet, a block north.

I did live in Scotland for 12 years and I LOVE haggis I was in Edinburgh for 2 weeks past July and eat haggis 5 times. This time I just want to make liver and onions

I hope you'll give Sal's a try. I stopped by there a couple weeks ago to buy some goat and was able to purchase tiny baby goat. I noticed that the store has reduced its square footage, releasing the adjoining space it used to have, so I hope that we can keep them alive. I prefer this halal butcher to the ones I've been to in Fremont and San Francisco. We're lucky to have this resource in Sonoma County.

I will, I always support local shops. e.g. I always use Olivers as my supermarket. Try asking Safeway to source something from the old country

OK Melanie. Here's a harder question: Where can I buy VEAL KIDNEYS in the East Bay? I spent the better part of a week last year trying to locate some but totally failed. They were readily available in the "good old days" but are not now. I heard of a wholesale place in Oakland but they're open only an hour or two a day, don't answer their phone, and I'm not even sure if they carry veal kidneys and if they would sell them to me if they did carry them.
