Recommendations wanted: Montreal and Quebec City

We are going to be on Montreal and Quebec city this spring, about 12 days total (not sure yet how many days each city). Montreal seems to be easy to find info about, but QC not as much.

So far, we have plans in Montreal for Au Pied de Cochon, Kitchen Galerie, and Europea. What are some other 'must try' places? Others we are thinking about include Le Local, DNA, and Pintxo. (unfortunately, it will be just after Cabane de Sucre...closes)

And Quebec City? Where should we not miss?

We are open to anything, and price isn't too much of a barrier...

Thanks

Hi there. I think you're off to a good start. You probably aren't getting many responses because all of the places you've mentioned have been discussed ad nauseam on the board already. If you search of any of them you will find tons of comments which should help you decide.

I urge you to consider going to Le Club Chasse Et Pêche , as well as Au Cinquième Péché (both in Montreal). Search for either of these and you will find tons of information.

Sorry I can't help with Quebec City.

As for QC, my go to places are Toast and Café du Clocher Penché. I really like the latter for brunch on the weekend. Le Moine Échanson is also a good spot. If you're shooting for something uber upsacle, Laurie Raphaël is the place to go.
