Korean Rice Cake
I wanted to try something new and bought some rice cakes with azuki beans from Han Yang Market, thinking it'd be like dessert. Turns out it's completely *tasteless*.
Anyone familiar with 'tteoks' know what I should pair this with? What I got is similar to the cake in the picture below:
asian desserts are usually pretty bland. That is a dessert but I'm not surprised it didn't have any flavor or sweetness.
What you can do is buy a can of sweetened red bean paste and maybe some toasted coconut, you cut that thing in half, slather some red bean paste in the middle, put back together, top the whole thing with some toasted coconut and make it like a snow ball sort of deal.
