Going to Jacobs & Co. tonight for the first time.

Have read the past posts, but wonder if there are any recent recommendations, favorites, things to order, things to avoid etc.

I can't eat the whole thing but the 14oz ribeye is AWESOME!

I like their fries, they are very "ducky" flavoured.

We loved the rib eyes, the duck fat fries and the caesar salad. Found the tartare, the asparagus and the mushrooms quite average. The breakfast muffins were great the next day.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the steaks. We usually go in as a group, order 4 or 5 steaks and ask them to carve them up for sharing. So I've tried the ribeye, bone-in ribeye, wagyu flatiron, striploin. They were all great.

Everyone loved the caesar salad. Again, they are more than happy to split it for you if you are sharing. We ordered 2 for 4 people and it was perfect. The fries were great. We also liked the sauteed spinach.

The desserts and ice creams were average.

Robert the sommelier was fantastic. We got great reco for wine.

Thanks for the advice. We had a great meal, shared two Caesar salads (with the yummy white anchovies!), a large bone-in rib-eye, the smaller bone-in strip loin, ducky fried taters, spinach and onions. Everything wonderful, but we favoured the rib-eye over the strip-loin.
Loved the service, loved the room, loved the food. Will be back again.

              Fun place.
Sommelier and house wines very good.
Split a Caesar if you are 2 people.
Ask them NOT to salt your steak (or be very restrained). That was the only major flaw on my visit.
