Union Square Pub Grub?

Hi Chowhounders! Going to a show at Fillmore Wednesday night in Union Square. Looking for some good pub grub (beer, burger) that's worthy of a foodie. Jeans and tee-shirt kind of atmosphere. Supposed to snow that night, so I don't want to go too far afield. Any suggestions?

Thanks everyone! Ended up going to Old Town. Not the best burger I've ever had, but stand up food, good service and welcomed warmth considering we had been trucking through a blizzard. I really appreciated all of your suggestions - I will remember them next time I'm in the neighborhood!

Reservoir on University Bet. 10th & 11th. Lots of beers on tap, buck hunter, pool, tv's, cheap burger and pristine waffle fries. Order the buffalo burger, it's not on the menu, but it's the best they've got. You could always hit Old Town, but the food at Reservoir is better.

Second Old Town. Great atmosphere. The burger at Molly's is very good but it's nowhere near as close.

Old Town is definitely the best burger in the immediate neighborhood. I also find Molly's too huge for me to really enjoy.

Molly's isn't very far away, though I'm not sure what you mean by "too far afield." It's not more than 10 minutes away.

Molly's is definitely your best bet and one of the closest options. I used to really enjoy the burgers from Pete's Tavern (which is only 2 blocks away) but I haven't had one in over 4 years now. I do remember that was the only good food item they served. (well maybe the chicken wings too)

If you do go to Mollys, the onion rings are a must

lillies or rye house are good options.

Try Stand for a good burger and beer. Down on 12th street.
