Dinner with friends and baby in Westwood?

We're meeting 2 friends for dinner tomorrow (Monday) night in or around the Westwood Village area. We have a 6 month old that does dining out well (for a baby) but doesn't like too much noise. Our budget is modest but we'll spend more for quality. No real preferences but bonus points for slow food, Japanese or francophone. Any suggestions?

    1) "Our budget is modest but will spend more for quality" - easier, for me anyway, is if you could put a $ limit per adult before tax, tip, and any liquid refreshment (dessert ?), and

    2) "In or around Westwood Village" - are you trying to find somewhere your 2 friends can walk to ?

      Apologies for being vague.

      Budget: <$25 pp for food & non-ETOH
Area: Driving distance of West LA - north of Venice Blvd & west of UCLA

Also, we're staying in Santa Monica at the Delfina on Pico Blvd.

Not a popular post for Hounds. Believe me, we're feeling the burden of finding a baby-friendly locale!

Hurry Curry of Tokyo - West L.A. on Sawtelle - You should "easily" stay within your budget for something a little different. I would definitely call and confirm the noise level for dinner (I've only been in for happy hour where it is was only 1/3 full, but was pretty quite).

Another Sawtelle choice that would work is Sawtelle Kitchen. It a bit north of Hurry Curry (just a little south of LaGrange) and tends to be quiet. This is Japanese home cooking for the most part.
