Quiet downtown pub for group meeting?

  • 6

Hi all, I'm looking for suggestions for a downtown pub that has a private room or at least quiet area for 12-15 ppl on a Wed night from 7-9pm. It's for a NGO's monthly meeting. We usually meet at City Hall but this time they're fully booked up. We've also met at the Duke of Richmond but it's always hard for them to accomodate larger groups and it's very noisy in there too.

By downtown I mean between Church and Bathurst and south of Bloor.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

  1. Not exactly a pub - but Canyon Creek on Front Street at Simcoe has a private room that would accommodate you if it's available.

    1. The Charlotte Room near King and Spadina has a large room for parties - it has a pool table in it but it's spacious.

      1. Harbord House has a second floor that can be used for meetings or private parties.

        Good food, too!

        1. Try the Fionn MacCool's at Adelaide and University. They have lots of room and they're usually not too busy/loud mid-week.

And of course there's always P.J. O'Brian's, I think they have a couple of private rooms.

          1. I'd try the Queen and Beaver on Elm. I think it would fit your needs.
