Honeymoon in Greece!!!
After a bit of time in Tuscany, my fiance and I will be heading to Greece for our honeyroom this summer and are looking for memorable restaurants (and/or wineries) to go to.
We will be in Athens for 3 nights, Santorini and Mykonos for 5 nights each. We'd prefer to focus on regional food, at non-touristy places known for high quality food and wine to match. Price is not an object if its a worthwhile experience.
Any help in any of the locations would be great! We are looking for those not-to-miss type places!
Tzitzikas kai Mermingas, just off Athens' main Syntagma Square, was our favorite meal in Athens. I initially found out about it, scouring the boards on Chowhound before my trip last month. Did NOT disappoint. Had a salad, along with grilled octopus and entree was the Chicken Moussaka. LOVED IT...

Hello! In Athens, three great fine dining experiences are Varoulko, Mylos and Spondi- Varoulko and Mylos are seafood based, and inspired by Greek dishes- Varoulko encompasses a wider range of mediterranean influence while Mylos is more "Greek" I would say. Spondi is an amazing French michelin restaurant, but might not be what you are looking for, since it isn't reflective of Greek cuisine.
Other great places are Ta Kioupia in Kolonaki area and Kuzina. These aren't cheap eats, but they are reasonably priced and not as expensive as the first three mentioned.
I also highly recommend Filistron in Thissio. You can sit at their rooftop (make sure to make a reservation!- get your hotel to do it), and enjoy the view of the Acropolis with great "mezethes"- small plates. You order several small plates of food and enjoy them, like tapas.
In Santorini, I recommend Saltsa in Firostefani. Roka in Oia is totally authentic and wonderful. Ambrosia & Nectar is also great in Oia.
I havent been to Mykonos in a while, so I can't help you there.
