Other Persian Not Persian House?

mmerino Feb 5, 2010 02:16 PM

Had a sad buffet lunch at Persian House today. I know I know BUFFET, stupid. I guess I was thinking it might be a good way to sample the food. Proteins were extremely thin, saucing was bland, bread tasteless.

This lunch made me want to erase the experience with good Persian food. Any recommendations?

The Kabob House in Beaverton has had good food in the past. It's name is pretty descriptive, as they pretty much only do the standard Persian kabob styles (barg & koobideh, beef and chicken) and none of the other standard Persian entrees. I haven't really found a Persian place in Portland that compares to those that are easily found in SoCal.

The majority of places around town are Lebanese, not Persian. My fave f these is Karam.

Not the same cuisine, I know. But if anyone knows where there is good Persian food in Portland, I'd be interested too!
