Dim Sum

Does anyone know of a good dim sum restaurant in the ATL metro area?

    Oriental Pearl
    China Delight
    Further out- East Pearl

Also, do a search on the topic. There are several posts but they may be outdated given Atlanta dim sum chefs' propensity to migrate elsewhere.

Flawless Dim Sum at China Delight last Saturday. Just wonderful- service, food, everything. Har Gow, Shu Mai, Bean curd crepe thing, greens, shrimp and chive dumplings, roast pork, and a new one for me- a pork and peanut dumpling that was great.

We had lunch there today. The best dim sum I've found in Atlanta. Thanks for the recommendation. A couple of the highlights for me were the steamed pork buns (hardly any fat at all and a nice flavor) and the egg custards (soft warm custard in a nice flaky crust).

Which is currently the best? Any near the Northwest side of Atlanta? Or maybe on the way back to Birmingham from NW Atlanta? I know this is a stretch.

I know this has probably found you too late but I stopped by China Delight last Saturday and it was very, very good. Almost as good as Yank Sing in San Francisco and far better than anything in Chinatown in NYC.

Despite not being crowded, there was a very good selection of items and everything was fresh and well made. My only complaint was there wasn't a lot of pork in the char sui bao - but that's an almost universal complaint of mine anymore.

Actually we went to China Delight and it was very good. Unfortunately we got too excited and over-ordered at the beginning so we got too full. And it wasn't inexpensive ... should have skipped most dishes. Will have to try again when in town.
