Hi - a group of four are looking for a nice atmosphere and good food where it will not be difficult to get a table. This is for a birthday dinner and the birthday girl loves pizza so we were thinking of somewhere that has pizza on the menu but is more than mainly a pizza place. so far I am thinking of Giorgione. Any other suggestions? Price and area don't matter, just casual good food. Thanks!

  1. Otto
    Accademia di Vino

Apizz--I have never been, but it always gets great reviews here.

Apizz is a great suggestion. I would also recommend Lil' Frankies - although it can be a little tight, so party size is a factor

    2. Cacio e Vino and Caffe Gnocco come to mind as well. I have heard good things about Gorgione's pizza. I like Otto, but don't care for their pizza.

In all of NYC however, Roberta's would be my pick.

      1. Franny's in Brooklyn is my pick. Food is superb. It can be busy at peak hours but early or late shouldn't be a problem.

        1. In the neighborhoodl not far from Giorgione is Cinque on Greenwich Street. Good pizza good food, nice place, owners are from Milano and Rome. Also a few blocks down is Gigino which has good pizza and good food, their signature dish is beet pasta. Down further is Inotessa has good pizza and good pasta

          1. Cafe Fiorello, opposite Lincoln Center, has good pizza and great antipasto. Beware of crowds pre-music across the street but they take reservations.

            1. Peasant in Nolita. Good pizza, delicious pasta and roast meat dishes.

you can also go downstairs at peasant, a very cool ambiance, weathered wood walls, speakeasy feel and same food.
