Lunch near Mt. Vernon
So the husband, chowpup, grandparents and I will be in DC<,as per tradtion, for Presdients' weekend. On Monday we'll go to Mt. Vernon and would like a nice lunch place enroute from DC. Any stand-out, not-to-be-missed places? Anything notable is fine.
Many Thanks,
lisa

I recommend stopping in Old Town for lunch. It's about another 10 or so minutes to get to Mt. Vernon from OT.
Recommendations are:
Daniel O'Connell's

The Light Horse

Brabo Tasting Room

There's a ton of restaurants with many types of cuisines and levels of dining. Check out this site, and see what strikes you. Then I can let you know if I recommend it or not.

Plus, Old Town is wonderful just to stroll around for a while. It makes for an enjoyable lunchtime visit.
