Looking for Tasting Menu/Private Room for Group of 20/25

I am looking for suggestions for where I can host a dinner for 20 to 25 people. Ideally we'd like a tasting menu in a private room. We value good food and service. Inventive cuisine is fine (think, say, Degustation) although prefer something not totally off the tracks. Italian, Spanish, American are good bets. Asian or Latin are probably not ideal. Prefer downtown location. Budget is $150 p/p including beverages, tax. Thanks for your help.....

Supposed to be good, awaiting responses myself but on Monday evening's Aroma has a tasting menu paired with wines (optional). They have a private room which may accomodate your guest size. http://aromanyc.com/index.html

Convivio has a semi-private area (it's curtained off, not walled off). I recently inquired about pricing for a lunch and it was reasonable. Though, it's not in your preferred geographic area, the food is terrific.

Also check with Blue Hill because I think they have a small room in the back. Though, with beverages, this is going to be over your price point.

Gramercy Tavern has a great private room, may be above your budget but worth checking
