Casual seafood (with two kids under 3) near St. Pete Airport?

We're heading to FL with my family in March and will have time for lunch between airport pick-ups. Any recommendations near St. Pete airport so we can have a bite while we wait for my sister's plane?

First of all, I assume you are referring to the St. Petersburg/Clearwater airport. You must be flying in on Allegiant or one of the other airlines.

In that area, I cannot think of any seafood restaurants. Casual or otherwise. There is the Airport Convenience Store right across the street from the airport where you can get a good cuban sandwich. Within a mile of the airport, there are numerous fast food places such as Burger King, Five Guys, Chik-Fil-A, Cracker Barrel, etc.

I know this is not much but that is about it that I can remember offhand in that area.

go to Salt Rock Grille, that'll probably do the trick for ya.

Thought about Guppy's or Keegan's in Indian Rocks but it looks like it's about 20 mins from St Pete airport, right? That might make it a little tight timewise. Maybe better to try to find someplace between Tampa Airport (where we're flying into) and St. Pete (where my sister is landing 2 hours later)?

Guppy's and Keegan's might be closer to 30 minutes that time of year with spring breakers and all.

And if I am not wrong, SRG is only open for dinner starting at 4 for early bird.

The Crab Shack on Gandy is about 15 minutes from the airport and has good local seafood in a very casual Floribbean atmosphere.

I will second the Crab Shack. You can go there on your way from Tampa with no problem.

I'll third the crab Shack. It is casual, inexpensive, the food is good, and it is between Tampa and St Pete.

OK, the Crab Shack may be just right. Thanks, everyone. I'd read some negative stuff online about it but we do want super casual and quick so I'm sure it will be perfect.
