Rays the Hunt sounds really interesting (opening in the old Hell Burger spot)

Hell Burger moving across the street to a bigger location - and to have hand cut fries.

Rays the Catch opening in the current Hell Burger location.

Rays the Glass - wine bar/tasting room in current Rays the Steak location.

i wish him all success. and i can't wait to get some fish -- i hope he offers different ways of preparation -- including fried fish, such as grouper. please no tilapia! ach!

any hope we might get any different cuisines? like deep-fried asian-style crispy fish? pretty please? the thai places charge $25 for a not-very-large fish.

also, will they offer shrimp? scallops? mussels?

I agree with Landrum all the way.
Being one of his first customers, and having been to the original and the Silver Spring shops several times, always a walk up by the way, I fully understand. The food is good, the price is outstanding consdidering other "prime steak" houses in the area. The staff has always been up front and helpfull. And Im more than glad they dont catter to personalities or antics. Show up as a group and Im sure they will put you all as clost together as possible. It worked for me on several occations.

Good for Ray's! Instead of saying that the restaurant has a point, the critic went into his "what a tough job I have" routine. Further proof that Sietsema is utterly clueless about everything.

Ray's the Glass? Eh. My vote would've been for Ray's the Bar. ;) Maybe too obvious.

The "appropriate" punny names would be Ray's The Game, Ray's The Net, and Ray's The Bar; I've previously heard each of those used in reference to these same projects in news reports, so who knows what the final names will be.

Reading the post artical, and his perchant for removing loud mouths, a bar would be problematic? But I would wish the bar be close to the burger or steak joint so once sloshed, I could grub up in style.
