Does anyone know where you can buy Anchor Steam in New Orleans? Uptown would be preferable.

The Whole Food Company should have it.

underworlds right Whole Foods (Arabella Station) on Magazine should have it. Try calling them first (514-899-9119). I'm pretty sure Ive seen it at the Vets location.

              Rouses has it.

For retail, I would also look to Martin's Wine Cellar, as they should also have it.

If you are "in the Parish" (Jefferson, like Metairie), then look at Dorignac's on Vet's Hwy.

        Good luck,

        Hunt

Martin's is on Vets as well, just down and across the street from Dorignac's. Corner of Sena and Vets.

Bill, "da parish" is St Bernard, Metairie is Metry, not the parish. :)

I think they have some in the cooler at the uptown Martin's on Magazine St. too.

Sorry roro, Mr. Hunt is correct. "The Parish" has always referred to Jefferson Parish.

Incorrect my friend. It's St. Bernard. But I don't know where you could get Anchor Steam down there. The Barracuda Bar?

Jefferson as the parish? New one on me.

Yeah. "Da Parish" is St. Bernard and no other. As for Anchor Steam, it's not hard to find and is fairly readily available at the average New Orleans grocery store.

I was born in NOLA in 1965, moved to Metry at 3, just moved 3 years ago at the age of 40, never once heard it called or referred to as "the parish"

They sell it at Rouse's. The one on Carrollton does at least.

They do have it at the Rouse's on Tchoupitoulas too. I wouldn't have thought it would be that difficult to find.
