Anyone heading over there tomorrow, 02/02/10, before 5:00 during the filming?

Would like to go just to see how it all goes down, but not sure we'll be able to make it.

If nothing else, I certainly think it would a very interesting meal.

Mine came from MT's regarding Surf, I just checked it again, it says PG.

      15%off for 15 seconds.

This is sad, such as great restaurant being invaded by the PG band of (Andleman's)losers. I hope they give Surf the respect it deserves. They should stick to the only they know how to do, rating fast food, which they crave.

Unfortunately, ya gotta do what ya gotta do to survive in this tough economy. So, if you get offered free publicity ......... you might as well take it. The PG was actually pretty good when they reviewed Buckley's - not too much schtick during the review. And, they gave it a good rating, which probably helped their business (but probably not as much as Silo's closing did). I'd rather share Surf with a couple of PG fans than not have Surf around at all - I'd really miss their miso grilled salmon!

Yah, I see your point, I share my opinion to my friends about both places. MT's and Surf can stand on their own, and I hope they continue to to well.

What do you think about Buckley's? I've only been once & thought it was good, but Surf is so much closer to me that it's my "usual" for a nice dinner. I prefer the side room of MT's for the casual atmosphere & live music. They also have the best Sunday brunch at MT's - last time I was there, Michael was actually manning the omelette station himself.

Buckley's has the best desserts of all the restaurants and their burgers are great. I go to the tavern a lot and it's nicee and casual there.

My husband and I were hugely disappointed in Buckley's. Our steaks were cooked wrong, the creamed spinach was watery and flavorless, and the garlic mashed potatoes were bland. A huge letdown for the price.

When I looked at their menu a while back, for those prices, I'll go to a real steak house.

That's kinda how I felt the one time I went there - good but not WOW. And for that money, I'd want at least a little wow. Went there 'cause the hubby used to be a waiter at The Country Goumet, which was the previous location in that building & he wanted to check out the redesign of the building.
Liked it a LOT better than the Hanover Street Chop House though - thought they were overpriced for mediocre food & the service was bad.
