Tips for Dining, Eating and Food Shopping in Pennsylvania (exc. Philadelphia, inc Pittsburgh)

Blairsville, PA

Help - a colleague and I will be spending the night in Blairsville, PA before lecturing the next day at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am looking for a place to eat for dinner and I don't seem to be able to find places on the net. Can you give me a few suggestions within 20 minutes or so from Blairsville? We are staying at the Hampton Inn, 1762 Old William Penn Highway. My colleague is not much of a meat eater, but loves seafood, Italian, and basic American. Thanks

  1. You will be very near to Clem's Barbecue. People love those ribs.

    1. Blairsville is a tough area, not much to offer but I'd have to agree with Clem's BBQ. Not elegant, but really good! I think it's a few miles east of Blairsville.
      If you want something a little nicer, Chestnut Ridge has a nice restaurant but it's more like a country club.
