Lilly's DineLA lunch (extremely short review)

i had:
the goat cheese and leek tart
the sand dabs
and
the creme caramel

every aspect of this meal was wonderful
food preparation, presentation, quantity, service, restaurant ambiance
all were wonderful

and, because of the DineLA deal, it was also quite the bargain.

Love their sand dabs!! So good.

i will be going back again on thursday to have the exact same meal.
it is the best deal in town.
the first course goat cheese and leek tart is almost large enough to be an entree AND they serve it with salad AND it is well executed.
the sand dabs were delicious and plentiful
they were also generous in the portion size of the terrific creme caramel.

parking was free on the street,
very pretty restaurant to boot!

all this for $16 before beverage, tax, and tip.

San Dabs are one of my favorites. Was a time they were all over the place in California and were on a lot of menus. Not anymore. Have you had the dabs at Joes? and how do they compare to Lillies? Anyway thanks for letting a san dab love know about Lillies. I'll be sure to give them a try.

sorry, i can't give you a comparison between the two restaurants.
it's been about a decade since i've been to joes.
i used to be a regular,
then had a series of bad meals there one right after another.
i never looked back.
there are too many other restaurants out there.
