Solo Traveler - Need Ft. Myers/Cape Coral restaurant recommendations

I will be in the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area starting tomorrow for a week. I need recommendations on where to eat solo, preferably non-chain restaurants. Entrees should be under $25 and I would prefer a casual atmosphere. I love all kinds of food, so I'm very open to trying new cuisines. Thanks in advance.

Lots of places to eat solo around here but most often you will be seated in the bar. One place that is single friendly is Crave. It has been reviewed here several times in the past year and the food is excellent. Very casual. Bistro 41 is good for a single, but you will sit in the bar area. There is good camaraderie there and many people eat there this way. Brew Babies in Cape Coral is a fun place with entertainment and you will not stick out there. Food is good and you can keep to your budget if you order carefully. I'm sure others will come with other places.

Fabio's is nice, small and casual. Really good Italian comfort food. It was quiet the last time I was there although I don't know what it will be like now that season has started.

Another vote for Crave. Try the Shrimp and chedder cheese grits. Skip one is good for fresh seafood. Lately I have been a big fan of Stir Crazy out at the Coconut Point Mall.
