Fraiche Yogurt - Fillmore St.

Last year, I tried Snowbunny Frozen yogurt in Healdsburg an have been coveting the area's place since... it actually tastes like yogurt. Delicious.

I tried Fraiche on Fillmore today, and I might covet less now. I had the Chocolate (Valhrona) Frozen Yogurt today with walnuts. Very good, not too sweet, like I like it. And the nuts tasted very fresh, and were toasted. I had a taster of the natural flavor and it tasted great.

The baked goods looked high quality as well (chocolate chip cookies, some tea breads).

    1. Where is it located on Fillmore St.?

Between Pine and Bush streets in Pacific Heights.

          • you are tasting 2 different types of yogurt. snowberry's is commercially made , probably by yocream. fraiche's is home made from organic clover milk.
yocream tends to add sugar to their yogurt. fraiche's is natural...

Oh, thanks-- I do not know about how frozen yogurts are made.

Snowbunny, the last I remember also uses Clover Organic milk. Also organic Straus yogurt.

my memory may be faulty but the tart at snowbunny wasn't that tart. straus tarts tend to be very tart. also, the blood orange flavor i had seem to evaprate pretty quickly.

We tried this place out in November at the suggestion of some local 'Hounds and thought it was great. We had a "breakfast dessert" (earlyish in the am) which included chocolate for me (after sampling the three flavours on offer) and vanilla with strawberry sauce and granola for the SO – the third option was soy yogurt, IIRC. We’d return for sure as I actually prefer frozen yogurt (and theirs is quite tangy as noted by the OP which I also like) to ice cream. Did you notice if they had start recycling and composting? When we were there they seemed to have all the gear in place but everything was going straight into the garbage :-(.

Update: Fraiche is fully engaged in composting, and is serving Blue Bottle coffee, including my favourite version of their New Orleans iced. Yogurt was just as good a year later, very smooth and nicely tangy. I even liked the pumpkin flavour which was offered as a sample.

Yes, when Snowbunny first opened, the froyo was made with Clover and Straus organic dairy. I've since heard there's a new owner who has changed things. I haven't had a chance to return yet to taste for myself.

Snowbunny has always used the " Secret Original Bunny Recipe". Strus Organic Yogurt / Clover milk. Snowbunny uses compostable cups and utencils as well.

You are correct- Snowbunny Frozen Yogurt in Healdsburg uses Strus organic yogurt and Clover milk. It is an orignal recipe... I was just there
