I am hosting a dinner for 40 (including 10 kids) in April. Looking for a decent place in walking distance of 17th and Sansom. Would like to spend about $50 per person. Any ideas?
You might try Upstairs at DiBruno Bros on Chestnut btwn 17th and 18th. They rent out and cater in their upstairs space. BYOB, Italian food mostly.
Ding! I love DiBrunos... entirely forgot about their upstairs space! Thank you!!
What are you, Ali Baba?!
Maggianos is also not bad. Plenty of food, especially food that might appeal to the kids, and a private room. Very convenient to train transpotation as well.
A couple spots to look into: Branzino is right near you. Lee How Fook in Chinatown has a great private room in the back with space for that many. Both have great food, are BYOB, and have their private party menus online.
