  1. I love the Pick Quick Drive-In in Fife. Classic NW style burgers with goop and grilled onions, great fries and milkshakes, and some older-fashioned sodas.

I haven't been to Scale Burgers in Elbe in years, but they are a great lunch spot on the way up to Mt Rainier.

I second Pick Quick, and yes, they are open for the season, was just there. BTW, they do not have goop on their burgers, and you need to request your onions grilled if that's how you want them.

And, yes, cash only, no ATM, no potties.

    2. Fat Smitty's in tiny Discovery Bay on the Olympic Peninsula. Huge burgers that just turn into a sloppy mess when you pick them up to eat them. Best burgers around.

Last time I was there it was cash only. I decided not to buy (even though there is an ATM) because of all the political signs all over the place that I personally found offensive. Didn't complain, but I did walk out.

      2. This is in Idaho a couple hundred yards across the Washington border, but try Effie's in Lewiston. A very good burger.

        1. Redline burgers and Maddox restaurant Maddox burger in Lynnwood. Redline makes their burgers from scratch but it is really their homemade fries and Maddox burger has avacado, cheese, bacon, burger, lettuce, tomato and thousand island dressing . Yum. Both are great.
I have also gone to miners in Yakima but I like these two better.

          1. I heard of a place in Casmere does anyone know of this place?

You may be thinking about Rusty's. This article from 2007 lists some other places around the state as well.
