Time Warner Center - Where to Lunch?

  • Kat Jan 29, 2010 10:24 AM

We will be at the Time Warner Center around noon on Tuesday after a meeting and I am wondering where we (2 of us) would best have a good lunch there? We will not have a lot of time as we need to leave the city around 2pm. A seafood-free option would be great. Upscale would be a nice treat, but not more than $80 for two (no alcohol). Thanks!

If you have like 2 hours...I say Jean Georges or Nougatine at Jean Georges.

You can easily spend less than 80 for 2 people and it's right across from the time warner center in the Trump Intl hotel.

Bouchon is also a great pick.

Yes...Jean Georges is a very nice upscale treat and their lunch deal is an unbelievable bargain.

Note that JG is fairly popular, especially for lunch, so I would make sure to reserve a table.

Jean Georges and Nougatine are great suggestions, and you don't need two hours/

        2. Yup - I 5th JG as the best place to do a Tuesday lunch. No second place.

          1. Thanks for the suggestions. I checked Open Table last nite for JG and there was no available seating until 1:45, which is too late for us. I'm going to check out Bouchon.

Another suggestion is Landmarc in the TWC. Not sure it they're open for lunch, but check.

            2. We just had a nice dinner at A Voce-especially nice was the tagliatelle with duck - they also have bar seating - also on the 3rd floor of the TWC.

I had a fabulous lunch at Landmarc. Excellent food and service. I really nice view too boot.

              2. I've had lunches at Bouchon and Landmarc multiple times and Jean Georges once, and Bouchon remains my favorite lunch spot at TWC. Especially perfect since you don't have a lot of time and you'll easily get out under your budget.

                1. We ended up at Bouchon. Arrived just before noon and sat at the communal table. Pleasant lunch with a nice view of Columbus CIrcle. I ordered the leek and Roquefort quiche and salad and spouse had the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Both very tasty, although I expected that the quiche would have had more of a Roquefort flavor. After, we stopped at the bakery for pastries and bread to take home. Very enjoyable and well within our budget, thank you Chowhounds!
