black forest cake in Montreal

I'm a big fan of black forest cake. Used to get them @ Gascogne, but they stopped making them a few years ago. Luckily my sister is a pastry chef so she'd whip me up a nice cake every year for my birthday, but not since she moved to Boston :(

So I'm looking for suggestions for good black forest cakes in the city. Must have mushy cherries inside, real butter cream, the works.

thanks in advance!

    1. I guess you would have to find a place that would let you special order it since black forest usually does not contain buttercream but rather whipped cream.

          any suggestions then?

          • Swiss Vienna Pastry in Pointe-Claire makes a nice one, and I'm not even a big fan of black forest cake. See location details and other suggestions in this thread:
