Bakeries or special treats along the 10W to the 57S

I'm going to a surprise birthday party for an old friend this evening. I'm driving from Upland to the Norwalk/Cerritos area. I'm taking the 10 East to the 57 South because there would be too much traffic on the 605 South. I'm exiting Imperial Hwy. Are there any special treats or bakeries worth checking out on my way to the party? I tried using the seach function for places in brea, but could only find postings for La Brea Bakery...not close to my area at all.
Thanks very much!

    1. Hi attran, in the Brea Mall area, there's always cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.

There's Campitelli's Cookies on the other side of Imperial (it'll be in the strip mall on your left, just past Randolph) for great cookies.

For a non-chain there's Beverly's Best; it's off Imperial, going south on Brea Blvd. Many in the area seem to like it; I've never had their cakes, only their cookies.

But if you decide to take the 57 to the 91, there's always 99 Ranch in Anaheim (91 @ Euclid)...I LOVE their cakes.

Thanks, OCAnn...you're always a wealth of information! But I think I'm in for some trouble...I won't be in the area until sometime after six, so I'll miss the closing times for both Campitelli's and Beverly's Best.

If you decide to make the schlep via the 91, there's Rutabegorz (on Pomona, btwn Harbor & Lemon). Might not fit the bill b/c their goodies are plastic-wrapped individually, but they have great house-made cookies & bars (lemon, chocolate/coconut).

And if chains don't bother you, there's also the Corner Bakery on Imperial @ Brea Blvd. Unfortunately, there's no Susie's Cupcakes (or anything like it) in north OC. =(

If you decide to go to the 91, get off at Pioneer and go into little India. You can stop at Surati Farsan and get an assortment of Barfi and other interesting Indian sweets. Also, get an order or two of Bhel (my favorite) for yourself. I believe they are open til 8 or 9.

OCAnn, thanks very much for the Rutabegorz suggestion. I hopped over before the party to pick up an assortment of treats for my friend. Cookies and lemon bars...I had the chocolate chip cookie and a lemon bar on the drive to the party and they were both delish! The birthday boy was very happy with his sweet treat. Thanks, again!
