BYOs in Bergen county

Hello, looking for opinions on your favorite Bergen county BYO restaurant. Any type of food. Going to have dinner with friends this weekend, and cant decide. Luka (in Ridgefield Park) and Rocca (in Glen Rock) seem like nice Italian options, not sure if Im really in the mood for Italian though.... any thoughts? thanks in advance

  1. There are over a hundred BYOBs in Bergen.. You need to narrow the field with some of your criteria.

P.S. Rocca blows away the other place, both in style and cuisine.

I realize there are many BYOBs in the county, thats why I am asking people's opinions on their Favorite, or even a few Favorites. I can narrow it geograpically I guess, how about your favorite BYOB in the Hackensack/Paramus surrounding areas? Im still open, however, to any cuisine type.

so we wound up going to Rocca and loved it. Quaint little Italian restaurant on Rock rd. I had the osso buco which was outstanding. Wife had the blue cheese gnocci dish and loved it too. We brought a nice bottle of Malbec and had a great time. Our friends had the Pappardelle Bolognese and zuppe de pesce and were both very happy. Great Italian BYOB in this area.

      2. Last Saturday we went to Aldo's in Wyckoff.
        Excellent place and BYOB.

        1. in Ridgewood almost every restaurant is BYOB they are for the most part all struggling in this economy and could use your businee
          my favorites are
A Mano the best true naples style pizza in the sate maybe in the country
go across the street to the liquor store get some peroni beer and some some argentinian malbecs and torrontes
do not forget to save room for their gelati you will not forget it
DIM Sum Dynasty go for lunch on the weekends when they have their carts
beer of course is the way to go as well as some scotch blends not single malt try the Famous Grouse, great scotch at a good price
Marra's and Marcello's for good solid Italian
It's Greek to Me for nice fish and the usual greek stuff outdoor tables also
Mediterraneo also quite nice and much less casual
I will be happy to join you to discuss all matters re food
I just cant pay I am broke
          A Mano is truly unique
by the way Dim SuM Dynasty has live fish tanks which creep me out but it doesn't get any fresher their lobsters are great and their fresh chineses are expensive but well worth it

            1. the Chef's Table in Franklin Lakes is our favorite.
