Traveling from Lancaster to Doylestown Saturday. Looking for advice on good places to stop coming or going, especially between Downingtown and Doylestown. Will entertain all types of ideas. Thanks for the help. I know this sounds very broad but just wanted to see what others recommend. Also, it doesn't have to be right on the path, I don't mind driving a bit out of the way. Thanks.

I can only speak to the towns of Downingtown & Doylestown, rather than stops inbetween - but my impression is that after being in Downingtown there's not much there besides the Victory brewery. The brewery itself has a restaurant and the facility is really nice inside, quite big, and actually has a pretty large menu. If you're stopping with kids or a bunch of people it has a nice, but casual atmosphere and would be good for a lot of different types of eaters. The beer list is awesome there as they have lots of stuff on draft that isn't currently bottled. ( http://www.victorybeer.com/restaurant.aspx

Doylestown has a lot more upscale places to choose from so it really depends what you're looking for - I had a very nice meal at the Knight House (http://www.theknighthouse.com/ ) and would definitely recommend the restaurant. Their sandwiches and salads are great. Also, Bobby Simone's is very good too - have always had good experiences there as well ( http://www.ilovebobbys.com/menu.htm ).
