Asian grocery stores in Palm Springs area?

Just bought a place in PS and need to get my kitchen ready for some serious Chinese/Thai meals... Of cource can buy online and ship, but I'd hope that there is a place or two that has all the fresh foodie ingredients at a cheaper price.. I've heard about AJ Market (near the PS airport) Any experiences with this place? Other suggestions welcome....

    1. Bumping this up.

Maggie19, did you check out AJ Market? How was it?

Any other Asian markets in the area?

Yes. Mixed bag. 1/3 Asian 1/3 Mexican 1/3 liquor....Bought some lite and dark soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, rice noodles.... staples. Walked out with a grocery bag full .. for less than $10. Heck of a lot cheaper than Jensens! Wish they had a greater selection, didn't notice any curry's for example. No frozen items or fresh meats/seafood. It located directly across from the south end of the airport on Ramon.

Where in the area would you go for coconut milk and Mae Ploy brand Thai curry pastes, for instance? Is AJ stocked enough to carry those, or elsewhere?

AJ had coconut milk (the small cans) .. did not see any curry items, but wasn't really looking for curry..... Have not been to Fil-Am Market in Cathedral City.. From their website, it appears they have a full selection of Asian products, likely the Mae Ploy brand. There's always importfoods.com for a vast selection of Thai food products....
