I've not been to Memphis Minnie's but I smoke all of my buffalo wings before frying them. Wouldn't do it any other way now that I've tried it.

I noticed that on the specials menu the last time I was there. Tuesdays only, IIRC. Now I just have to remember to go!

And sometimes Saturdays. MM seems to be playing around with the deep fryer more for fried chicken sandwiches and deep fried pork chops too. I'm not in the City much these days, so please do tell!

A bit late on the reply, but I had it a month or so ago and it was delicious. I think I still prefer my fried chicken brined and non-smoked in general, but this was a great twist.

Thanks for the word. . . And good to know there's a place for fried chicken on the beer & pork diet.

            It's the vegetarian option.

there is a blanket exception for fried things, thankfully.
