After the fire a couple of years ago, they have now rebuilt the place, and actually painted the outside the same color... But it doesn't look like the old house that it originally looked like.

I'm anxious for them to reopen.

    Correction: From the Vine side, it doesn't look like the original. But I was looking at it again today; and they've put up siding similar to the original on the front. And there is a roof overhanging the patio that also looks similar to the original. I hope they open soon.

    Also, I stopped by Hatfield's yesterday and one of the construction workers told me he thought they were hoping to open next week. This might have been confirmed by a man with a toque and white chef's clothes taking boxes from a van to the restaurant.... I can't wait.

            Yep, they saved it and it's back on the roof. They've re-opened and the re-model looks terrific.

            Anyone go yet??

                Same as before. It's like they never closed. The same guy is there to greet you (the owner?), they serve pureed carrot as a side to the meat, which I forgot about until the plate arrived in front of me, and the chocolate souffle is to die for.

                They did a remarkable job keeping the original feel. And the food is the same, too. They are very gracious and we'll be back.
