Hummos: Does it freeze well?
I made a big batch of hummos for a party and have about a pint left over. Will the texture and taste suffer if I freeze it and then thaw it at a later date?
Also, while on the subject, what's you hummos recipe?
Glad to know you can freeze it...here's a recipe that I use--I really prefer lemony hummus...this recipe is from wolfe also a poster on this board:
Blend 1 can chick peas(drained), 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice, 2 cloves garlic and 4 Tbs tahini. (I always add grated lemon zest, too) Salt to taste. Place in shallow bowl and sprinkle with Spanish smoked sweet paprika.
Float a little extra virgin olive oil over the top and serve with shaker of za'atar.
