We recently moved to Kalorama and are looking for the best (free) delivery options. We are happy with Regent for Thai, but we need better choices—for pizza, Chinese and Indian in particular, though we are open to anything—than the menus that get put through our mail slot. Thanks for your suggestions.

I think that Jyoti and Himalyan Heritage will deliver to you (both are on 18th in Adams Morgan) for Indian and Nepalese. We order a lot from Spices in Cleveland Park which has some Chinese dishes. I haven't ordered from Mr. Chen's in Woodley Park in years, didn't think it was very good, and haven't found other good Chinese delivered. Hamster just mentioned on another thread that Pho 14 is delivering (and I double-checked their website, it's true!), but not sure their area. There are lots of local pizza places (I mean, as opposed to papa johns etc) that deliver, but the better ones are also pretty pricey and I'm not sure if any of them are quite worth it. You might see if you're in Pete's Apizza's area. [In your area, you might have better luck with Dupont places that don't necessarily come quite as far north as me (in north Adams Morgan).] Have you looked at foodler (I've never used it myself.) Hope this helps.
