Gelatin powder and various other things that make you queasy.....

I have this thing about gelation powder. I find the smell really off putting. Is it just me or what? Everytime I have to use it I feel I am going to be sick. The smell reminds me of melted crayons. Most of the time once it's cooked or whatever the smell disappears but the odd time I think I can still smell it - that's it for me. Whatever it is, I'm just too turned off to eat it. That happened to me just recently with a panna cotta I was making and then again today, with a lemon mousse. Luckily with the mousse, the smell is gone. Yuckk!!

Anyone else?

    1. I use gelatin sheets at work that have no odor (to me, at least). You might want to try looking for the sheets if you really enjoy those mousses and panna cottas.
