Drinks near Van Ness?

I have a Saturday night and it would be good to meet near the Van Ness metro. Can anyone suggest a nice and relatively quiet place for drinks and perhaps a snack or desert?

              Cafe Deluxe is a good place to meet, but I wouldn't call it "right there." You have to walk from Wisconsin to CT.

                I'll second Acacia Bistro. Other option is Epicurean and Company at the top of the metro stop. It is more a dining hall but serves booze.

                Your best bet is to really meet in Cleveland Park, lots of options like Dino, Palena, Ardeo, etc.
