TANGO - Glastonbury CT
Dinner at Tango last night for the first time and fair at best. Tuesday night at 7PM and obly 2 tables were taken. Service was fine, but the food was not so great. Appetizers were the Octopus and the calamari salads. Both were bland and not much of either fish were included. Tasting of the shrimp, tuna and scallop ceviche and the scallop was the only good one. Shrimp were in a bowl of oil and were spiced wrong and tuna was just plain with avocado and lacked in spice. Main course was a special fish over Farro and dices squash. Ate all the Farro since the fish was totally overcooked. Not a place I would return to except for a drink at the bar.
I had hopes for this restaurant after their opening but they have clearly gone down hill. I was there with a friend a few weeks ago and the place was practically empty. In my experience the food was mediocre as above but the service even worse. When we walked in there was no one to greet us and no bartender behind the bar. We weren't sure if they were open or closed. My prediction is that they will in fact be closed for good some time in the near future.
