Katz's Credit Card Logistic Question

I've never gone to Katz's and used a credit card. From reading the boards I know you can pay using a credit card near the end of the counter towards the back. I'm going there today with a 3 other folks. There's one person who will be paying for us on their card. I don't want to go to a table for wait service. for me part of the experience of going to Katz's is to order from the counter tipping the guy etc. What's the best way to do this so my friend can pay for all of us on his card & also tip the counter guy? thanks.

Everybody can get their own ticket, you can tip at the counter with cash. When you are ready to leave, everybody just leave together and the person paying can take all the tickets, present them all to the cashier, and pay with a credit card.

You have to go to the back counter (by the salami) to use a credit card. You'll get the tickets back to hand to the cashier upon leaving.

There is a spot on the CC receipt for a tip, of course, but it is customary to tip at the counter with cash.
