Chez Laurent @ Yonge and Sheppard

This was recommeded as a good place to go to before seeing Jersey Boys with my two daughters.

Any opinions? Does anyone know the price range - I'm not looking to spend anywhere near Auberge de Pommier $$$$$$'s.

I'm not familiar with the area at all, so any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.

It's an OK place. C+ food at very moderate prices.

The area is fairly poor for restaurants, so there isn't much better. Pourquoi Pas around the corner on Sheppard is marginally better but a bit more expensive and a bit less convenient. Best bet may be So Good, a decent neighborhood Thai place up the street near Empress Walk.

I used to work in the area about 10 years ago. Chez Laurent was attached to a restaurant called Enzos that had, in my mind, the best wood oven pizza I've ever tasted. They also had amazing home made pastas. They shared a kitchen - so if it still the same owner/ operator, I would recommend the food.
