Thai Restaurant E. Montco

Unkle Al Jan 26, 2010 05:44 AM

Can anyone suggest an excellent Thai restaurant that is located in eastern Montgomery County (Abington / Huntingdon Valley and west –Norristown and east)? I have been to Nadia’s in Lansdale and would not return. I have been recommended to Thai Thanee in Abington; can anyone tell me if it is good?

Thank you for your help.

I have wondered about Thai Thanee also, and hope someone can chime in. There's also White Elephant on Huntington Pike. It's pretty good for around here, though I think Thai is the regions weakest asian cuisine.

I'd love to hear reports about Thai Thanee. Whenever I drive by, the parking lot is empty. I don't know how they're staying in business.

This is just a guess but takeout orders? My friend and I enjoy eating in at Eastern Dragon in towamencin and the dining room is fairly quiet. sometimes we have it to ourselves. but they get a steady parade of take out customers. This time of year people just want to hibernate in their cabins. Not me, I get cabin fever!

One of our favorite Thai restos is Thai Orchid in Blue Bell. It is actually E. Norriton in my opinion, but whatever. Giant shopping center at Township Line and 202.
