The weather is right but where do I find a restaurant that serves this wonderful Alsatian dish.
Every once in a while the Riverside Cafe on Riverside Drive in Burbank (by the LA Equestrian Center) makes it. It's an unpretentious version of the dish and is one of the best in town. If you give him a call you might be able to talk him into serving it.

Le Saint Amour in Culver City offers it as a special one night a week or so.

For what it's worth, the Smith Bros.' newish Cheval Blanc Bistro in Pasadena has both Choucroute Garnie and Cassoulet on their menu for every day - at least the one downloadable as a PDF. I'm getting taken there for my birthday, but I asked for Tuesday because the daily special is Lapin à la Moutarde; however, if I can persuade either Mrs. O or her mom to order the choucroute I'll snitch a bite or two and get back to you...
