By all means Sushi Island - one of the best Japanese in the entire metro area.
Duck Walk Thai next door used to be good - a little inconsistent recently but still OK
Gingerbread Construction Company for amazing dessert muffins
Zaleks is solid and good value, but overrated IMHO

I have to second, third and fourth the others posters. Sushi Island is by far one of the best Japanese places in the entire Boston area. Very authentic, owned and operated by a Japanese sushi master from Japan and he always has a great variety of things to try. They also serve a wide range of cooked food too if you are not a sushi fan. My favorite is called Hamachi Kama which is the collar of a Yellow Tail Tuna broiled with a salt coating. If you enjoy fish give it a try.

It was on Water St - went into where India's Finest (I think) was - doesn't look to be there any longer according to the website.

On or around Patriot's Day in April, Fred's Franks will reopen. It's an oversized hotdog wagon on the 128 side of the lake and serves fantastic dogs, linguica, kielbasa, chorizo... He cooks on charcoal! Awesome stuff!
