Restaurants Near Toronto Centre for the Arts

I am taking my wife to see Jersey Boys for our 40th anniversary and was wondering if anyone can help me choose a memorable restaurant near the Toronto Centre for the Arts (5040 Yonge in North York).
We enjoy Asian, Italian, and like really well-cooked, interesting food, rather than over-priced and stuffy places where patrons pay for the decor and not the quality of the food.

Thai Bistro on Yonge south of Finch.

Auberge du Pommier... located south of Sheppard (just north of York Mills) very close driving to the theater. Not asian or italian, but one of the best restaurants in the city (but i fear this might fall into your 'stuffy places' just because of the higher price point) For a 40th Anniversary it would be perfect.

There are plenty of Asian (Korean/Japanese) restaurants just north between empress and finch, I never really tried them out. Also Chains restaurants right across the street from the theater are baton rouge, spring rolls, milestones (think?) but all of these places will be packed with the pre-theater crowd.

I posted earlier today requesting info about Chez Laurent on Yonge Street, N of Sheppard as somewhere to go to before Jersey Boys.

It was recommended to me, and apparently you can leave your car there when you go to the theatre. It's about a 5 minute walk.
