Orlando - International Market

Based upon a recommendation that I saw here on the boards I stopped by the International Market and Deli located at 815 N. Mills Ave just off of Colonial/50 downtown. If you like trying new foods or are looking for some authentic Eastern European specialties, you have to check this place out! The market was FILLED with Eastern European/ Polish/ Russian foods. Highlights were the fresh baked goods, sausages and stuffed cabbage. I cant wait to go back this week and pick up dinner from the homemade food!

I stopped by as well on Friday, not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of stuff. Thinking I might find some FRESH smoked salmon that they slice for you, and maybe some pickled herring in cream, I was a little sad those things weren’t there. However, there is plenty there to be happy about, and I can’t wait to try some of the other packaged smoked fish they have.

I got one of those large variety packs of sliced smoked fish when I was there, and busted it out on Saturday after the 5K in Winter Park. It had salmon, sturgeon, two kinds of trout, and I think even sea bass! REALLY good stuff with some cream cheese and Bagel King bagels. This was in the refrigerated case, the wide, flat, vacuum-sealed package.

        BBVL,

Perchance, do you remember if they had Smoked Bluefish?

Definitely not in the variety pack I bought, but they may have had it at the store. You can always call and ask, though. Sorry about that!
