Gourmet Food Stores in Pittsburgh
Does anyone know of any gourmet type of food stores in the Pittsburgh area? A cousin who loves to cook just moved to Pittsburgh, but is having a hard time finding some unique food stores. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I agree on the Strip. The only thing I don't buy there is produce, except when the farmer's market is in season. I've found the produce in the stores to be less than first quailty, generally speaking.
Another place to try is the East End Food Co-op for local products.
