roasted chickpea snacks
i'm trying to find healthier, diabetic friendly snacks to nosh on during the day, and came across roasted, salted chickpeas in the bulk section. i'm not sure about them - they seem a little dry to me. what do people think about these things? are there ways to doctor them up and make them more addictive?
the store-bought ones are a waste. it's tastier, cheaper, and pretty simple to make them yourself. you also have the option to vary the seasoning/flavor...
old thread but new solution: The Good Bean (fyi a Bay Area company) packages several flavors of roasted chick pea snacks.
My fave is the sea salt, and also the black pepper, but they also have Thai coconut, mesquite cinnamon and more. Some can be found at Berkeley Bowl, or Whole Paycheck.
